FAQ Symbol What is the Ironman Foundation?
  • The Ironman Foundation, Inc., a registered 501c3 is a not-for-profit organization. Donations made to The Ironman Foundation, Inc. will be distributed to various local organizations and charities.
FAQ Symbol What are the benefits?
  • Athletes receive an entry into a sold-out Ironman event and a $300.00 USD tax-deductible relief. Starting in 2010, Ironman Foundation athletes will NOT receive sling bags, T-shirts, hats, etc.
    Entries are non-transferable and deferments are NOT permitted.

  • $600.00 USD
FAQ Symbol How do I register for foundation slots?
  • All athletes will need to register online and pay in full via credit card. When spots are available, the registration link will appear at the top of this page. To register, click on the link to be taken to the registration form.
FAQ Symbol When does online registration close for foundation slots?
  • Slots will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis and online registration will close once the foundation slots are sold-out and reach capacity.
FAQ Symbol Can I defer or transfer my 2010 foundation slot to 2011?
  • Transfers and/or deferrals will NOT be permitted. Please review the partial refund/withdrawal policy below:

    Withdrawal requests must be received in writing via E-mail to California70.3@ironman.com . Without exception, all requests must be received on or before February 21, 2011 to be eligible for a partial refund of $75.00 (USD). Transfers or deferrals are NOT permitted.
FAQ Symbol My employer's matching form is online. What do I do?
  • Fill out the online form with the necessary information. Once you have received confirmation follow the steps above to submit your matching form.
FAQ Symbol My employer or friend/family member wants to match my donation. How do I go about doing this?
  • Athletes will need to download, print and fill out the matching form below. Once complete, check(s)/money orders should be made out to Ironman Foundation and mailed to the address below. Be sure to include the event name (i.e. Ironman Louisville) and the athlete's name on the check.

FAQ Symbol When will I receive my tax letter?
  • Tax letters will be sent to athletes and donors via E-mail at the end of each month. The letter will state the amount of the contribution. In the event that an athlete has secured matching donations through employer donors and received a refund for any and all part of the charitable donation amount, the tax receipt will reflect only the amount that is deductible under US law.

  • It is the mission of the Challenged Athletes Foundation to provide opportunities and support to people with physical disabilities so they can pursue active lifestyles through physical fitness and competitive athletics. Established in 1997, the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) is a unique organization that recognizes the athletic greatness inherent in all people with physical challenges and supports their athletic endeavors by providing grants for training, competition and equipment needs.
